Turkey REACH (KKDIK) Compliance for Exporters | ONAY Mühendislik

“Turkey REACH” is the common international name for KKDİK, Türkiye's chemical regulation modelled on EU REACH. Companies exporting chemical substances or mixtures to Türkiye must ensure Turkey REACH (KKDİK) compliance through a Türkiye-based Only Representative. ONAY Mühendislik provides Turkey REACH registration and compliance services since 2010.
Turkey REACH vs EU REACH
While KKDİK follows the same registration, evaluation, authorisation and restriction logic as EU REACH, it is a separate national system with its own KKS submission portal, Turkish-language Safety Data Sheet requirements, UFI/PCN obligations and the 30 September 2026 registration deadline. An EU REACH registration does not substitute for KKDİK.
How ONAY ensures compliance
ONAY acts as your Only Representative, handling substance identification, tonnage, dossier preparation and submission, backed by 2.000+ lead dossiers, a DEKRA partnership and SAR/QSAR-based technical infrastructure.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Turkey REACH the same as EU REACH?
No. Turkey REACH (KKDİK) is a separate Turkish regulation with its own portal, SDS language and deadlines, though its structure is based on EU REACH.
Does an EU REACH registration cover Türkiye?
No. A separate KKDİK registration is required for the Turkish market.
What compliance means for exporters
Selling chemicals into Türkiye brings three obligations at once: registration under KKDIK, a Turkish safety data sheet and, for hazardous mixtures, UFI and poison centre notification. A foreign manufacturer cannot handle the first directly and needs a representative established in Türkiye.
A practical compliance map
- Inventory: substances, CAS numbers and annual volumes per importer
- Roles: manufacturer, importer, only representative or downstream user
- Registration: enquiry, forum, data access, dossier, fee
- Documentation: Turkish safety data sheets and compliant labels
- Mixtures: UFI code and poison centre notification
Where exporters usually stumble
The most common problem is assuming the Turkish importer has handled everything. Importers often register only what they import themselves, leaving other channels uncovered. The second is missing analytical data, which stalls the sameness decision in the forum.
Ongoing obligations
Compliance does not end at submission. Volumes are tracked annually, tonnage band changes trigger dossier updates and reclassification feeds through to sheets and labels. Building that review into the yearly calendar is far cheaper than reacting to an inspection.
