What is KKDIK?
KKDIK (Turkey REACH) is the Turkish Regulation on the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals — Turkey’s equivalent of the EU REACH Regulation. It is administered by Turkey’s Ministry of Environment, Urbanisation and Climate Change through the Chemical Registration System (KKS). KKDIK requires manufacturers and importers of substances at 1 tonne per year or more to register those substances, prepare an IUCLID technical dossier, meet tonnage-based data requirements and provide compliant Safety Data Sheets. Foreign manufacturers cannot register directly and typically appoint a Turkey-based Only Representative. Registrants must complete their preliminary or full registration by 30 September 2026; final full-registration dates depend on the substance’s tonnage band and hazard profile.

KKDIK in one paragraph
KKDIK is Türkiye’s regulation on the registration, evaluation, authorisation and restriction of chemicals. It follows the logic of EU REACH: companies must know their substances, document their hazards and register them before placing them on the market. Without data there is no market access.
Who it applies to
- Manufacturers established in Türkiye
- Importers bringing substances into the Turkish market
- Only representatives appointed by foreign manufacturers
- Downstream users, with verification and documentation duties
How registration works
The duty starts at one tonne per year per legal entity. Companies registering the same substance meet in a data sharing forum, appoint a lead registrant and share studies. The dossier is built in IUCLID and submitted through the KKS system, followed by the fee payment.
Why the deadline matters
Provisional registration closes on 30 September 2026. Companies that miss it may lose the right to keep the substance on the market, and foreign manufacturers need extra lead time because they must act through a representative in Türkiye.
