KKDIK vs EU REACH: A Two-Way Compliance Guide
Companies supplying chemicals to both the Turkish and EU markets must comply with two separate but similar regulations: KKDIK in Turkey and REACH in the EU.
Both systems share the 1 tonne/year threshold, tonnage-based data requirements, an IUCLID dossier and the Only Representative option. The differences are the competent authority and system (KKS/Ministry vs REACH-IT/ECHA), dossier language and timeline. EU REACH registration deadlines were completed in 2018, while KKDIK follows the 30 September 2026 process.
