How long does EU REACH registration take and what does it cost?

The duration depends on whether the item has been registered before. The process can be completed in a few months by purchasing a letter of access (LoA) for a registered substance. For an unregistered substance, a testing program is required and the process may take more than a year. Cost items are grouped under three headings: ECHA fee, data access fee and consultancy.

Post-registration obligations
