KKDIK registration generally requires the substance’s precise identity (CAS/EC number, IUPAC name, purity and impurities, analytical data), manufacturing or import tonnage information, use and exposure information, physico-chemical, toxicological and ecotoxicological data, classification and labelling information and, where applicable, a Chemical Safety Report. On the administrative side, company details, a KKS account, authorisation documents and — for foreign manufacturers — an Only Representative appointment letter are needed. This information is compiled into an IUCLID technical dossier. The required documents and data set vary with the substance’s tonnage band and hazard profile.
