Is a Safety Data Sheet (SDS) mandatory in Turkey?

Ana SayfaIs a Safety Data Sheet (SDS) mandatory in Turkey?

Yes. For substances and mixtures classified as hazardous — and for certain other substances under specific conditions — a Safety Data Sheet (SDS) must be prepared and supplied down the supply chain in Turkish. The SDS is a standardised 16-section document covering the product’s hazards, safe use, transport, storage and emergency measures, and it reflects classification and labelling under the SEA (CLP) Regulation. Where required, an extended SDS (eSDS) with exposure scenarios is provided. Preparing accurate, up-to-date and compliant SDSs is both a legal obligation and essential for occupational safety. ONAY Mühendislik provides SDS authoring and updating services.
