The KKDIK registration timeline depends on the substance’s tonnage band, hazard profile and existing data. A simple intermediate may take a few weeks, whereas a high-tonnage hazardous substance requiring a full test package, MBDF processes and an IUCLID dossier can take several months. The process generally involves pre-MBDF enquiry, sameness checking, data gap analysis, completion of required tests or literature, IUCLID dossier creation and submission via KKS. Preliminary registration is much faster than full registration. As registrations must be completed by 30 September 2026 and data generation can be lengthy, early engagement is strongly recommended.
